Teff

Teff

The dwarf millet Teff is grown in Ethiopia for more than five thousand years and is one of the most important food in Africa. The plant of the family of grasses is nicknamed “the smallest grain in the world”: A particle is 150 times smaller than a grain of wheat. But behind this lies a real nutrient-size: Teff stores like much calcium as spinach is a good source of iron and even includes vitamin C – which is rare in cereals.

Teff contains all the essential amino acids – even those that do not occur or the instance in wheat, rye or oats only inadequate. In addition, Teff is easy to digest because of its basic properties and an ideal diet.
